    About Us

To help the incarcerated re-enter society, they need a solid understanding of the authority of Scripture, who God is, and what He has accomplished for humanity in the person and work in Christ.

Our goal is to come alongside incarcerated individuals, bearing their burdens together, and:

    • helping them understand their need for salvation
    • helping them form an eternally-focused biblical worldview
    • equipping them to live in a Christ-like manner while they are in prison
    • helping with their many needs during transition back into the community after incarceration

Crossroads has sent 1,500 Bibles to prisoners, distributed 144 supply backpacks to incarcerated individuals re-entering society, and currently disciples 50 prisoners in North Carolina.

Crossroads was founded by Amber Douthitt in 2019. Saved by faith, she was compelled to immediately share the gospel with her brother who was in prison at the time. Many others inside those prison walls heard her story and wanted to learn more. Amber's heart to serve the Lord led to her desire to begin a ministry reaching incarcerated individuals with the love of Christ.

  • Statement of Faith

    1. We believe the Bible was written by persons divinely inspired, and it is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21)

    2. We believe in the one and only living and true God. The eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, yet one in nature and purpose. (Genesis 1:1, John 10:30, John 15:26)

    3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily Resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory and that the nature and timing of His return is known only in the heart of God. (Matthew 24:36, Luke 1:35, John 11:25, Acts 1:11, Romans 8:34, Ephesians 7:20-21, Philemon 2:5-11, Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:25, Revelation 19:11)

    4. We believe that mankind was created by the act of God and in the image of God. Yet sin has separated us all from God, and we have no hope for eternal life without the death of Jesus on the cross for our sins. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8)

    5. We believe that salvation is the free gift of God offered to all who accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord by faith. (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8–9)

    6. We believe that it is pleasing and honoring to God to share the salvation message with others and to encourage other believers regularly to grow in their faith and seek God in all they do. (Matthew 28:19-20, Philemon 1:6, Hebrews 10:25)
